Meet Jonny Uttley, Edwin’s latest ambassador

We are excited to announce that Jonny Uttley, Jonny Uttley Education, is joining Edwin as an ambassador, further strengthening our commitment to championing inclusive, values-driven leadership across the education sector.

Jonny brings nearly 30 years of experience in schools, including eight years as CEO of TEAL Multi-Academy Trust, where he led significant growth and established a national reputation for high-quality, inclusive education. Under his leadership, the trust became widely recognised for its focus on staff wellbeing, retention and principled leadership.

A respected national voice on inclusion, organisational culture and system reform, Jonny continues to influence the sector through his work as a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Young Lives and as a trustee for SHINE. He also contributes to key advisory groups and national policy discussions, helping to shape the future of education.

Jonny’s values and expertise align closely with Edwin’s mission to support people-first leadership in education and beyond. His work, including co-authoring Putting Staff First, reflects a deep commitment to building sustainable organisations where staff can thrive. In his role as ambassador, Jonny will be supporting Edwin with our series of CEO round tables as well as other projects in development.

Commenting on his appointment, Jonny said: “I am absolutely delighted to be partnering with Edwin and becoming an ambassador. Throughout my 30-year career in schools, I came to understand the vital importance of organisational culture and that great people sit at the heart of any successful school, trust, or business. Edwin epitomises everything I believe about culture and people, and it is a privilege to support their mission. I am looking forward to our upcoming roundtables and other exciting projects we have in the pipeline.”

Jonny’s appointment marks another important step in Edwin’s work to connect influential voices and practical expertise, supporting leaders to make better decisions and deliver meaningful, lasting impact.
